Women for Women International - DRC Country Director

Abdoulaye Touré serves as the Country Director for Women for Women International – Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he manages programs that have served more than 88,000 women since 2004. Touré has more than 20 years of experience in international development. Touré has gone on to specialise in programme design and development, quality management, and facilitation of change processes for development and humanitarian aid organisations in Mali and DRC. Prior to joining Women for Women International, Touré served as Assistant Country Director and Program Director in the DRC for CARE International, where he has worked since 1993.

Patriarchal systems don’t work. For all the on-going war, economic and ecological disasters, men don’t have the means to take care of and feed their families. People are questioning masculinity and how to be a man.
