Our Ambassadors

Women for Women International's ambassadors play a key role in helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives. Ambassadors use their platform to raise the voices of the women we serve and shine a light on the issues faced by women in some of the world's most dangerous places.

Cherie Lunghi

Cherie Lunghi has been supporting Women for Women International since 2010. She was passionately involved in Women for Women International's 2011 International Women's Day campaign and called for the inclusion of Afghan women in peace negotiations.

When one woman has the courage to raise her voice and gets together with other women, they create a power and a strength that can shift all the obstacles that lie on our path to a better world for women.

Radio 4 Appeal

In 2015, Cherie presented a BBC Radio 4 appeal on behalf of Women for Women International. The results of the appeal were hugely successful; helping us raise more than £28,000 in twelve months and link 45 new supporters to women in our programmes.
