Vice Chair of Trustees for Women for Women International - UK and Chair of the Fundraising and Marketing Committee
Born and raised in Vancouver, Michelle completed a degree in Dietetics before moving to Hong Kong to pursue a career spanning advertising, fashion, and luxury brand management. She subsequently relocated to London, where she now resides, and studied architectural interior design. She is an independent design consultant and is the co-founder of cultural production company, Restless Buddha, which works across a broad spectrum of the arts to raise awareness of social issues and effect social change.
Michelle is Chair and Trustee of The Millby Foundation, which seeks to drive gender equality, with particular interest in using visual design and communication to advocate for disadvantaged adolescent girls in South East Asia. She is a Trustee of the Robert HN Ho Family Foundation, a Hong Kong-based philanthropic organization that promotes Chinese arts and culture and furthers Buddhist philosophy in contemporary society. She is also past Chair of Foreign Sisters UK, which raises awareness of the vital work of Cancer Research UK amongst the international community living in London.
Michelle is an alumna of The Philanthropy Workshop, a leader in ongoing strategic philanthropy education with a diverse international network of more than 350 philanthropists, and is a member of Women Moving Millions, a global philanthropic community that is a catalyst for large-scale investment in women and girls. She has been involved with Women for Women International since 2010, and joined the board in 2013.
