#SheInspiresMe Lunch 2017

Celebrating the inspiring power of women

About the event

The #SheInspiresMe Lunch, this year sponsored by VANLELES, is an annual gathering celebrating the inspirational power of women. Focusing on the successes and challenges facing women both in the UK and internationally, the Lunch is a unique opportunity to debate and consider the current global position of women.

The event was hosted by Women for Women International Ambassador MyAnna Buring. Keynote speaker Clarissa Ward, multi award-winning Senior International Correspondent for CNN, then joined MyAnna in conversation. She spoke movingly about her experiences in Syria and Bangladesh meeting women survivors of conflict and sexual violence, and the importance of creating a sense of sisterhood between women around the world. The event was a great success and over £93,000 was raised to support our work. A huge thank you to our Ambassador Charlotte Olympia for creating a bespoke #SheInspiresMe clutch to celebrate the day.
