CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF GLOBAL SISTERHOOD

AN EVENING AT THE V&A

On Wednesday, 1st November, we brought together a community of dedicated supporters for a very special evening celebrating the impact of Women for Women International’s work over the past 30 years.

We welcomed over 150 guests, including Women for Women International Ambassadors, for an evening drinks reception and exclusive private viewing of the widely anticipated Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto exhibition, which celebrates the power of inspirational women.

See how far we've come since 1993

30 years of Women for Women International

Women for Women International was founded in 1993, when Zainab Salbi and Amjad Atallah launched their mission to support women who endured gender-based violence during the Bosnian War. Their reach expanded to Rwanda, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria and South Sudan as the need to help forgotten women only grew. Since then, we have reached over half a million women in 14 conflict-affected countries.
