#SHEINSPIRESME LUNCH 2022

CELEBRATING THE INSPIRING POWER OF WOMEN TO CHANGE THEIR WORLDS

Earlier in October we welcomed 70 guests to the #SheInspiresMe Lunch, in partnership with Jimmy Choo and supported by Slip.

The lunch was hosted by Tina Daheley with guest speaker Clarissa Ward. Clarissa spoke powerfully about her reporting from front lines around the world – most recently in Kabul and Kyiv. Guests also heard from our Programme Coordinator Storai Ahmadi who shared the harrowing story of her journey from Afghanistan last August and her resolute commitment to raising the voices of Afghan women.

The theme of this year’s lunch was forgotten conflicts. As war wages on, the world moves on too. The media and public attention shift to new wars, and all around the world people continue to suffer at the hands of ongoing conflicts and crises, unnoticed. We must not let these forever wars become forgotten wars.

The lunch was a great success, raising vital funds to support our work, enabling us to reach many more women survivors of war and helping to ensure they are not forgotten.

A huge thank you to our event partners and to everyone who joined us on the day helping to shine a light on forgotten conflicts around the world.
