Depending on where she lives, a woman's chances of surviving child birth vary dramatically. With a new addition to her family, Katie Allen, our Policy and Programme Grants Manager, considers the differences between her families experience of childbirth compared with the experiences of the women that participate in Women for Women International programmes.
